Mr. Yabui joined the firm as an associate in August of 2007. While in law school, Mr. Yabui participated in Elam & Burke's summer clerkship program and was previously a summer clerk for the City of Moscow. He practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation, commercial litigation, and insurance defense, with an emphasis on the defense of both third-party and first-party claims. The cases Mr. Yabui works on range from small personal injury cases decided under the Small Lawsuit Resolution Act to large first-party insurance cases involving damages alleged in the millions.
Mr. Yabui has also familiarized himself with the Medicare Secondary Payer Act and its impact on the insurance companies and self-insured entities that work with the firm. He has attended several seminars on the Medicare Secondary Payer Act and works towards keeping up to date on the constantly evolving law concerning conditional payments, reporting requirements, and Medicare set aside arrangements.
Mr. Yabui was raised in Montana. His interests include golf and spending time with his wife and son. |
