Mr. Thomson joined the firm in 1987. His practice consists of banking laws, insurance bad faith defense,
insurance coverage, complex commercial
litigation, and business law, and he heads
the firm's Appellate Section. Prior to
joining Elam & Burke, Mr. Thomson served a
two-year clerkship for the Honorable J.
Blaine Anderson, Circuit Judge, United
States Court of Appeals for the Ninth
Circuit. Mr. Thomson has authored several
articles on securities arbitration and
litigation practices and has spoken
extensively on insurance and appellate
issues.
Mr. Thomson enjoys hiking, mountain climbing, is on the Board of his local Rotary Club and serves as President of Stage Coach Theatre. He is married and has one daughter.
